Happy Birthday, [info]josiefier!!!

Hope you have an excellent birthday, hon! Just remember, it's your birthday, so you can do whatever you and you get to forget the rest of the world for at least a day. Possibly more. I'd milk it for all its worth ;) Have a great one!

Pretty much everyone and their mother knows by now that they've posted the Official Comic Con schedule for Wednesday and Thursday. You can find it here.

While this makes me insanely happy that I get to stalk Kristen Bell THREE TIMES during the Con, it also depresses me because they put a lot of the panels I wanted to see at the same freaking times. Damn them. I'm highly excited to see Psych as almost all of the cast will be there. But it also runs over into a KBell panel, and New Moon is at the same time as two other things, so... damn them again! Looks like I'm going to have to bust out my mad Comic Con skillz and make this work.

All right, with an assist from [info]yumytaffy and [info]an_an0maly, I bring you the most comprehensive list (so far) of Comic Con panels for 2009. Remember, not all are set in stone, rooms and times could change. Also, most haven't released a list of who is attending the event, but it goes without saying that pretty much all your favourite people will be there. They usually are.

Question mark is still surrounding Ghost Whisperer, Legend of the Seeker, The Prisoner, and True Blood. The shows have confirmed their participations, but the date and venue have not been announced yet. Rumours are also still busting for the presence of 24, Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, Bones, and Glee. Heroes, however, will pass on this event. Heroes will not erect a panel for the first time during its history. Still, creator Tim Kring would be present, announcing his participation to Chicago Tribune, "I plan on being there, along with some cast and writer/producers, etc. And we're fully expecting to have a great sneak peek at Season 4 to show." I... don't know what that means as far as a panel. Is that a mini-panel, or non-panel, or what? Because being present with some cast and the writers/producers is what makes a panel. So, uhm, yeah. Whatever that means.

Today ruled. I went to bed late last night because I couldn't stop watching episodes from The West Wing. I'm a few episodes away from season 4. Go me. But today I woke up and went to sushi with [info]noroom4squares, who came into town, we went through two bags of clothes my mom was getting rid of and proceeded to make fun of her style choices, and then we went to the Padres/Mariners baseball game. Her Mariners won, but it was still a good game. I didn't care either way since my boys are in Boston, so I cheered for anything good that happened. I visited with my old boss for a few minutes (he works at PetCo Park, too), and I also vomited. Sushi + stadium crap does not equal a happy tummy. :( Other than that, today ruled. Plus, I love taking the trolley down to the ballpark. The ride home? Hysterical in the "people are crazy" kind of way. This dude was railing on his friend that he had to go to court because of him and their friendship was through and he was getting a restraining order. Then when his friend walked away from him, he followed after him like, "What are you doing walking away from me?!" I loved the other trolley-goer who said, "Man, I'm always happy when white people be acting crazy, too." HAHA. Overall, good night. Though, we were slightly annoyed with this couple in front of us who could NOT lay off the PDAs. Like, it's extremely clear that they're new lovers, but still. Well, until Jovie spoke with them and realized the girl was from Seattle and the guy went and worked at UCLA, too, then they were less annoying. Slightly.

In other news, I've finally finished Joan of Arcadia, and I'm convinced they should have at least had a season 3. Purely crap reasons they didn't. Also, I ship Joan/God (see icon). I don't want to look too closely at what that says about me, but when I found fic with this warning: "WARNING: If the idea of romantic tension between a Deity (especially one based on a well-known, conservative religion) and a mortal offends you, PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS. I cannot stress this enough. Thank you." I knew I had found the good stuff. Hee. Also, I ship her and Michael Scofield eVol. What the hell is wrong with me? I've also started watching Supernatural. I made a deal with [info]shadow_walker3 that if she watched Veronica Mars, I would watch Supernatural. We're fully enjoying both. Go us!

Jacked from [info]josiefier

I've come to realize that my ex.... is my soulmate and our love is EPIC. Srsly. Now, if we could just get our shit together, it would be really fucking nice. I promise, this time, I'll try not to run. Try.
I am listening... to Storms by Fleetwood Mac.
I talk... way too much about fandom, baseball, and politics.
I love... sex. And cake.
My best friends... rule the world. You know who you are ;)
My enemies hate me because... I'm smarter than they are and I don't suffer their shit with a smile like everyone else does.
I lost... my mind a long-ass time ago.
I hate it when people... lie to me and patronize me.
Love is... certainly not all you need.
Marriage... usually doesn't work out. I'm not opposed to trying, but I also don't have high expectations. I'll probably do it to say I did it once.
Someone, somewhere, is thinking... I probably should've used a condom.
I'll always be... true to myself.
I have a crush... on Josh Beckett. And James Roday.
The last time I cried was because... I was so goddamn stressed out and my head hurt like a bitch. (Last night)
My mobile is the... easiest way to converse with me. I'm always a text away. I often prefer it.
Before I go to sleep at night... I watch Harry Potter. lol
When I wake up in the morning... I drink massive amounts of coffee.
Right now I am thinking... that my stomach still hurts, but not nearly as much as my head does now.
Babies are... great. I just wish I could get it right for once.
I go on facebook... and "like" a lot of things because it's easier than conversing with people sometimes. "Like" something and they think you still speak.
Today I... had the best sushi in the world and was killed "ded" with it. lol Saul and Mike are always a good time, but I miss Matt when he's not there. I have the best sushi chefs in the world. ♥
Tonight I... will watch The Big Lebowski and have phone sex with Ryan.
Soon I will... be hanging out with [info]an_an0maly :D Feel better, hon. Also, your f!s ruled. HEE. I started writing you fic a while back, too, btw. Like, not too long after we re-watched that episode in Melbourne. (Oh, gods, our poor hotel neighbours! Every 42 minutes.) Anyway, it may never ever be done, or see the light of day, but it's based off of that scene. WIN!
I really want... a shitload of money. That'd be nice.
The person who is most likely to re-post this... uhm... [info]dragynflies?? C'mon, you haven't done a meme like this in a while. ;) You know you want to!

I'm so effin' bored right now. It's raining, I had too much caffeine today, I have nothing left on my TiVo to watch, no new books to read, my DVD Shrink is currently taking a long time burning Veronica Mars for [info]shadow_walker3 and my dad, and Ryan is sicker than a dog and has been asleep next to me for the last, like, five hours.

So I guess that means it's meme time! )

How many languages do you speak?

Fluently: English. Semi-Fluently: Spanish. I understand everything being said, I can write it and read it, but I run into problems when it comes to actually speaking it because I get nervous that I'm going to mangle the language. This is why it helps if I'm drunk. ;) Thanks to Spanish, I can also understand every second word in Portuguese. Makes for interesting conversations. "Why does your mom want a mattress in the backyard?" LoL I remember the Russian alphabet and how each letter is pronounced so I can sound it out, but I don't know what the words means. But I can count up to 30, ask someone their name, tell someone my name, say yes and no, tell them I'm a student, and ask where the bathroom is. Other than those, I only know a smattering of other words in other languages (Greek, Italian, Latin, Hungarian, German, Arabic, Aramaic, and Cherokee).

Comment to this entry and I'll pick three of your fandoms. You must then update your journal and answer the following questions:
01: What got you into this fandom in the first place?
02: Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
03: Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc.?
04: Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
05: Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?

[info]archerstar gave me Bones, SVU, and Castle.

Fandom is looove )

I get to go to New Mexico at the end of this week/beginning of next week to find a place to live. Wish me luck that I actually find one, because I so don't want to make another trip closer to my move date to find a place. There's this perfect place I want that will be ready August 1st and it's first on my list to see when I do get to NM next week. It would be beyond awesome if I got this place.

Since school and work ended, I've had nothing to do lately. It's really nice and also really sad that I can read a whole book in one day and catch up on my Netflix. LoL I feel like a lazy bum. Anyway, rec me some TV on DVD that I've never seen before that you think I should watch. I'm currently on The West Wing and Joan of Arcadia, and I'm totally digging both of them.

Randomness, thy name is Kaia:

^I got a 4.0 this semester. I managed to make the top spot in ALL of my classes, with well over 95% in all four classes. Go me. I'm such an overachiever, I know.

^We had CIF today and my little Dani girl kicked ass. I'm so damn proud of that kid. She even made me cry! Also, I just learned that I get a bonus for one of my kids going to CIF, so I really love that kid! lol

^At our gymnastics banquet on Wednesday, every single freaking kid MADE ME CRY. Sadly, since I am moving, I can't coach next year and they all decided to torture me by taking their turns on the mic and telling me why they love me and why they'll miss me. I'm pretty sure I have a picture of every single one of them crying as they hugged me (I'll post them later). It was extremely sweet, but very sad to be saying goodbye. It's things like this that make me rethink my decision to move. If I hadn't already registered for classes and paid, I would definitely reconsider the move. I'm going to miss my kids so damn much, ya'll don't even know. As tiring and painful as it can be, I love what I do and I think these kids have kept me saner than I have any right to be.

^Kristen Bell on Party Down was fucking hysterical. From now on, that's going to be how I ask people out on a date. LOL Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed it and it's always nice to hear her be able to drop F-bombs. Good times.

^On my first day off of school I had a Kristen Bell Day today. I watched Veronica Mars, Fanboys, and Party Down. The Fanboys commentary is hysterical, btw. Nothing will ever beat ATY commentary, but ya know, it's hard to compete with that one. This was one was really amusing, too. I love that they really are such fanboys and use the word "fandom," it makes me feel better about myself. I also read that they may be making a Fanboys 2 and I will totally stalk the set in New Mexico if they do. I don't care that it's, like, 2 hours away from me. Hey, the nearest Trader Joe's is there, too, so my stalking is two-fold.

^On a related Fanboys note, I'm really digging Joan of Arcadia lately. Gods bless Netflix. It's slowly restoring my faith in humanity and totally makes me wish I believed in a God. Almost. Someone rec me another show I never watched that is now on DVD. I'm going to need something to watch this summer.

^I didn't get the summer school classes that I wanted. Boo. One class I wanted filled up before it was my turn to register and there are already 30 people on the waitlist. The second class I wanted only has five other people in the class and has been canceled.

^I get to go meet with my advisor and the department head at NMSU next week, and I get to attempt to find a place to live. Uhm, yay? I really hate moving and finding apartments. Wish me luck.

I'm bored. Tell me what's going on in your lives lately.
